Leighton Meester takes the February 2009 cover of Teen Vogue. Here’s what the Gossip Girl star opened up about:

On her parents’ highly publicized prison past: “I wouldn’t have volunteered that information, but I’ve never kept it a secret either. It’s just not my past; it’s not my story to tell.”

On her childhood: “I wasn’t born in jail; I was born in a hospital. I lived with my mother for a few months in a halfway house, and then I went to stay with my grandmother for a few more before my mom got out. But I had a normal life.”

On costar Ed Westwick: “He’s my favorite actor to work with. We have really good chemistry.”

On her debut album she hopes to release this spring: “The music is very fun. It’s edgy, like electropop rather than bubblegum and you can dance to it.”

Gossip Girl queen bee Leighton Meester breaks for a quick hamburger lunch while filming scenes at the Museum of the City of New York (aka the Constance Billard School for Girls) on 5th Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

Following her meal, Leighton returned to filming scenes with co-stars Blake Lively, Penn Badgley, and Nicole Fiscella.

As the girls bundled up in wool winter coats, Penn kept warm by dancing arm-in-arm with another man on set.

A spin-off for the hugely successful CW drama, Gossip Girl, is in the works, according to Variety.

The spin-off would act as an episode of Gossip Girl later this year to gauge audience reaction. But it’s won’t be for Little J! The trade mag says the spin-off would not feature “The It Girl,” nor would it focus on the character of Jenny Humphrey (the character spun off from the Gossip Girl books for “The It Girl”), played on TV by Taylor Momsen.

Who should get their own spin-off series — Blair, Serena, Chuck, Nate, Dan or Vanessa?

Gossip Girl is back with another buzzworthy print/online campaign.

Pictures of the cast members have been graffitied on with the words following words: Leighton Meester is “FAKE,” Blake Lively is a “LIAR,” Penn Badgley is a “LOSER,” and Chace Crawford is a “CHEATER.”

Where is on-and-off-screen couple Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr? And what would their ads say?

BTW, did you know Blair’s maid/servant, played by Zuzanna Szadkowski, is getting her own spin-off series in the form of webisodes. Crazy, huh?

Ed Westwick and Leighton Meester show some tongue action on the set of Gossip Girl at The New York Palace Hotel in New York City on Thursday.

Leighton, 22, has recently been gearing up for her debut album, saying “It’s so cool because it’s a completely different creative process. From beginning to end it’s yours and you make it… You can see the finished product. It’s sometimes hard when you’re acting to be like, ‘Oh I see the finished product right before my eyes’. So it’s cool you’re there from start to finish when you are writing!”

Gossip Girl’s queen bee Leighton Meester keeps it cute in a ruffled floral-print Marc Jacobs dress at the 5th Annual Lucky Shops by Lucky magazine event in New York City on Thursday.

A portion of the proceeds benefited The Robin Hood Foundation, which funds and supports innovative poverty-fighting organizations in New York City. Leighton, 22, hosted the event, which drew thousands of women from across the country. For more information check out LuckyShops.com.

Gossip Girl stars Penn Badgley and John Patrick Amedori bundle up in warm jackets on the NYC set of their hit CW show on Monday afternoon to film a funeral scene.

WHO DO YOU THINK the funeral is for???

In tonight’s episode of Gossip Girl, Serena (Blake Lively) invites new beau Aaron (Amedori) to be her guest at a charity gala and she discovers a secret that he has been keeping, making her doubt who she thought he was. Meanwhile, Blair (Leighton Meester) takes a on a baby-sitting job and Jenny (Taylor Momsen) plans a plan a guerrilla fashion show with Agnes (Willa Holland). Be sure to tune in tonight @ 8PM ET/PT on The CW!

Penn, 22, was also seen sporting a Barack Obama support pin on his backpack.
